Why did Kisimoto give Naruto the easier opponents in the manga?

Never understood it. That and the fact that you give a guy the Kyuubi and expect us to be surprised that he's stronger than everyone his age by the time he's 12 with immense chakra pools? Shout out to all the ninja's who trained harder and never acquired half of his free power. Shout out to all the powerful characters who got overshadowed because of this.

Whether he got easier opponents or harder opponents, it doesn't matter, the result will be the same. Now if you combine all of Naruto's opponents against anyone else's then he def. has the harder opponents.

Now about the power, well first of all he didn't have a say in the matter and having Kurama in part one greatly hindered his abilities. Without Kurama, Naruto would've been far superior.

Sure, you could look at it that way, but you have to take into account that the time spent before the Pain Arc was meant for Naruto to surpass Sasuke, so it's only natural that his opponents weren't as powerful as Sasuke's.

Afterwards, I would say they both had their fair share of powerful opponents. Sasuke had more opponents to fight between the Pain Arc and War Arc, but Pain was by far at least just as powerful if not stronger than the opponents Sasuke faced. But again, both had their fair share of powerful opponents.

Sasuke - Sharingan, Curse Mark
Neji - Byakugan
Gaara - Willing to give in to Shukaku, hated everyone and it made him stronger (Zero training)
Haku - Ice Element, specialised ANBU sent to kill missing nin (usually S-Class)
Pain - Rinnegan

All these opponents Naruto fought and he didn't even know how to use Kurama's chakra properly. In fact, he was getting his ass whooped in every fight before he won and every single one of these guys are OP to begin with. He was whooping Pain in Sage mode (which he actually trained his ass off to achieve).

Pain was pretty heavy as an opponent. But yeah, Naruto had a lot of help and Pain/Nagato already was exhausted after removing Konoha from the map. The problem is, most of Naruto's victories feel like a gift of god or something.

You know they say "knowing your opponent" is half the battle. Considering Naruto's help was the frog summons, they could only do so much considering they were busy fighting Pain's summons.
