They've never died though, which is the problem in your title.

Well, so that when naruto is over you can look back and appreciate moments like this one, the moment madara confirmed his existence and submitted his legacy.

If the next chapter is all about how Naruto really never comes back, and he is never seen again, I'm going to laugh so hard.

But yeah, he probably only killed him *or had him fatally wounded* to make Madara seem even more powerful, hype him up a bit.

These events are for the sake of making naruto more enjoyable, It's obvious they won't die/stay dead.

Errghh, NB makes me mad.

There is always someone to cry about something, Read the Manga, enjoy it or GTFO.

Your response: "If you don't like my thread then don't post and GTFO"

Lol.

How do you know Sasuke is dead? The manga never told us, through dialogue or otherwise, that he perished.
Last few chapters, Karin and Tobirama who are expert sensors, can't sense Sasuke chakra. Which is lifeforce.

The final panel size that their hearts had already stopped beating, and Sasuke should have bled out by now after being stabbed in the heart

The cliffhanger is HOW they will be saved not IF.

He probably thought it would make an impact , but frankly it didn't , almost no one believes both of them will die .

I see two possibilities.

1. This all has to do with the series finale.

Kishimoto realized that Naruto was so much more powerful than Sasuke that there was no way that he could have the two face off without Naruto simply mopping the floor with Sasuke. Therefore, Kishimoto had to level the playing field somehow. By removing Kurama's chakra already inside Naruto, he essentially cut out all of the abilities that Naruto had to were specifically catered to defeating an Uchiha. For instance, Naruto's speed is back down to his normal level; Naruto doesn't have a protective chakra cloak that theoretically wouldn't be affected by Amaterasu (much like how Nagato and Gaara countered Amaterasu); Naruto lost the TBB, etc. This essentially resets Naruto and Sasuke to their levels prior to the War Arc, and makes up for the complete lack of development when it comes to Sasuke since he killed his brother.

2. This has something to do with unlocking their overall potential.

Somehow having the Yin chakra will make Naruto more powerful. Conversely, perhaps death is the final stage of awakening the Rinnegan. We do not yet know the details of how Madara was able to awaken the Rinnegan. We just know that sometime after his battle with Hashirama, he used Hashirama's DNA. However, every other Uchiha doujutsu requires some sort of mental anguish, and perhaps the Rinnegan requires the person to die.

Since when was it a crime to hold an opinion about something?

OT: I'd say it's to add more of a 'God' effect to whichever state/power level they'll be brought into.

I dunno. Every fight involving Yusuke Urameshi comes to mind.
