Hokage Sharingan Kakashi

As the title says, why did Kishi troll the Gokage?
Their short five or six manga chapters fight is nothing in comparison to Naruto and Tobi's fight. Hell even Onoki and Gaara vs Edo Kages was a much better fight IMO. Kishi made the Kages make a big ol' promise to Naruto that he did not allow them to keep and had Madara smack them around like rag dolls. My question is WHY? Madara complimented their combined offense + defense + they had the greatest medic ninja of their era to aid them/prolong their battle conditions to keep the fight going but Kishi says "No." The five most powerful shinobis from the five great nations vs the strongest uchiha/senju combo and they can't even slow him down? Seriously?
Hokage - Super human strength, medic/regeneration techs, will of fire
Kazekage - Ultimate defence, powerful sand style jutsu, flight, sensor sand, sealing
Raikage - Fastest shinobi alive, powerful lighting style nintaijutsu, super human strength, great combo attacks with Onoki, bijuu level chakra
Mizukage - 3 elements(water, fire, earth), two powerful kekkei genkais(lava, boil release)
Tsuikage - 3 elements(earth, wind, fire), 1 incredibly powerful kekkei touta(dust release), flight, great combo attacks with A
vs
Enhanced Madara - powerful widescale fire release, 3 elements(fire, water, earth), 1 kekkei genkai(wood release), can only be sealed, susano'o, ps susano'o, great taijutsu, (ems)sharingan, rinnegan abilities and techs
And even after they were finally able to take down his 25 susano'os with legs they end up bring trolled by perfect susano'o. . .WTF -_-. . .Anyway I question it b/c as far as that storyline goes it looks like it's pretty much at it's end and Kishi's stalling with the Tobi/Naruto fight to come up with something interesting instead of killing a kage adding depth/supense/emotions to it. Ehhh. . .
Give me your opinions on the matter NB and if this thread has been made already asking my exact question I'll have a mod take it down. I searched but didn't see one so I made it.
