why did itachi kill the whole uchiha clan

i know itachi killed his clan for the village but why did he kill his mom which werent ninja and he killed his aunt and uncle who just owned a shop? i dont know if they showed the uncle and aunt in the manga but they did show them in the anime.

he probably thought that it would be best if every uchiha were killed(except sasuke ofcourse), because wouldn't the villagers get suspicous if only the fighting uchiha were killed and his mom was in on the plan it would be stupid not to kill her.

its all about the uchiha clan, if any were left alive, there would be a fear of a future uchiha gaining power and wanting to take over. It was all meant to stop exactly whats happening right now, for the uchiha to use their visual powers to gain control over the village, or the entire world. All of them should have been wiped out, including sasuke, madara and itachi if itachi did everything he was supposed to. danzo and madara and itachi had other plans though, thats why we have whats going on now.

Sorry m8..u are mixing things up. Danzou was never the leader of anbu
ANBU respond directly to the hokage
Danzou commanded his ANBU roots division..and not the actual ANBU
(it's a sort os black ops division specialiezed in wet work (assassination missions)
