Because war and loosing your loved ones was a normal at the time imo and the shinobi of the era probably suppressed their emotion in order to survive and fight. And after Indra, Madara and Izuna were the only ones known to have awakened their MS. I am sure other uchihas too lost their loved ones but only Madara and Izuna were known to have the MS. So its not like an uchiha looses a loved one and then awakens the MS as a rule.
He awakened sharingan because of a friendship that ended but not his brothers being killed and it seemed like he cared deeply for all his brothers. Kishi just on that bs as usual.

Indeed he cared for his friendship and for his brothers but as I said before, there is no rule that great emotional pain would always awaken the MS in a sharingan user. Its more like the pain that he kept enduring all his life eventually led to him awakening his MS and its the same imo for Izuna.

Kishi don't give af atleast not anymore. there is no logic to why he didn't, he simply just didn't want him to have it yet. look at obito, he instantly jumped him to 2tomoe in both eyes asap and no one even died yet, then got 3t and MS because his "eyes" saw rin's death. smh
well Kakashi was having his eye , and he was the one who stabbed Rin , maybe when Kakashi's eye turned to MS , Obito's eye also turned to MS , I dunno :hmm:

I still agree that the moment was so weird af , **** logic anyway

This is honestly a valid question. It's simply inscrutable how Madara failed to awaken the Sharingan under his circumstances where he was surrounded by tragic losses that influenced him significantly as he grew to be more earnest about protecting Izuna. It makes no sense, but it was done for the sake of plot.

Putting the indra thing aside, it's about who cares about who most and Izuna was the only one madara really cared about. So it took him until his late 30's to awaken the mangekyo sharingan because his brother was still alive and well.
Sasuke witnessed his whole family died mother and father yet still didn't awaken MS until Itachi died.
Obito's mom and dad died and he didn't awaken MS until Rin died.

It all comes down to setting and emotional ties, and that person who you're close to is not dead yet, then it'll take longer for your MS to manifest.
