I haven't been watching the anime so I didn't know sumire left her team and was replaced by a samurai from the land of iron. I never noticed even with mitsuki how they easily allow people other countries join ninja teams. I thought mitsuki is a special case since his parents Oro but I guess they allow that for anyone to join from other lands? Or does the leaf have special relationship with the land of iron since I suspect denki is from there. And Denkis dad responsible in new infrastructure of konoha.
I hope sumire isn't forgotten I liked her character and think she will still be important to plot and serve as love interest to the main characters.
