Why Danzo has his eyes covered before he had shisui´s eyes?

As seen in the last manga, Danzo had his eye covered, but by that time Shishui was only a child... so for what reason he had his eyes covered?

Itachi killed Shisui an Danzo took one of Shisui's eyes. Itachi put the other in the crow he implanted in Naruto.

Danzo had it covered, because he can't turn it off (like Kakashi) and it'll take up unnecessary chakra. Also, he couldn't be seen with a Sharingan :|

I just thought he injured it like kakashi did. he took shisui's eye not long before he gave his second eye to Itachi because it was still bleeding.

Has I said, shishui was only a child and when he was an adult he fought Ao and he had both his eyes, so that theory doesn´t make sense.

i dont think itachi killed shisui. he said he did when he told sasuke about shisui. but as far as i know shisui just gave the eye to itachi and died some other way which is still a mystery.

He may have injured it, like Kakashi. If Shisui was still a kid then he couldn't have taken it yet. And we know Danzo took an eye before Itachi took the 2nd eye. And from what I know Shisui committed suicide so no one would find his corspe. He died without his eyes.

he might of already had a sharingan and just replaced it with Shisui eye

Most likely he lost his eye in battle. So later when he replaced it with shisui's eye he didn't have to explain why he was bandaged up.
If he had KA why would he bother bullying the orphan woman into taking the mission
