Why coudln't Kishi of made an alternative forrest of death scene where Neji fights

Remember in the forrest of death before Sasuke awakens to wreck shit, Neji was going to defeat them by himself, i would of loved to see that anything with Neji is good. Team Dosu took out rock lee, what would have happened, would someone else need to come in?
