So after Kakashi became a jounin, Minato separated from their team, and Kakashi became the leader for his team with Rin and Obito. On his first mission as a team leader, Obito "dies." (Well, we know he didn't, but everyone else thought he was dead.)

Then after that, why would they let Kakashi and Rin go as a two person team? Minato went on a mission by himself, but shouldn't he have been watching them more carefully after what happened with Obito?

I can't even imagine what happened to Kakashi after both his teammates died with him as their leader... Especially because he killed Rin and Obito died to save him. Some leader he was. xd

But his tragic short-lived time as a team leader makes sense with something that happened in the beginning of the manga:

Perhaps it was a hostage situation with Rin?

But then we find out Obito's name is carved the stone.. and not Rin's. Why wasn't Rin's name carved on the stone? Why was Obito considered a hero for dying on duty but not Rin? What did Rin do/not do?

One more thing...

Kakashi was failing everyone because he didn't want them to die. Talk about teamwork though... Who was he working with all that time?

Well to answer you first question Idont think that she was being held hostage because after that obiot thing he knew that protecting her could have been obtained without killing her IMO.
For the Second Question. I cannot answer it but I think her name wasnt on the stone because maybe it was made to look asthough she got lost and not killed and no one ever found her. Pretty much MIA. Which wouldnt neccesarily put her name on the stone.
And for the third I think that after all this kakashi became Anbu somehow and just because he is a jounin doesnt mean that he HAS the have a three man cell he could have just been doing his own stuff just for the lulz.

Sorry if it doesnt make much sense but this is the best I could come up with im too tirted to think lol. Hope it helps. Suigetsu OUT!
