Nope, just a boss. He tried protecting the villiage, wasn't just selfish. Sad he had to die and still leave Sasuke in the series :|

He died protecting himself, he was running back to village to hide from Sasuke because he glared at him at the summit.

I'm sure that people would hate certain characters a lot less if it wasn't for annoying fans to bash other characters and worship some. If we all respected each others' opinions and didn't talk crap about them, there would be a lot less hated characters.

Why are you people biased towards certain characters and hate others? For example Sasuke fans(worst) and Naruto fans.

I love every single character of this story, with the exception of Danzo. And I understand if you hate him, actually I don't know how someone could ever not hate Danzo.

Naruto, Sasuke, Obito and Jiraiya are my top favourites. But you will never see me complaining that someone is getting too strong disproportionately to someone else....

WTF?!

Simple really, people will always different opinions and views. :y

Well I don't see any contradictions. They're the same to me. Their choices are different, and there are perfectly good reasons for that. They both grew up alone and they're both strong, on top of that they're best friends. No contradictions on my end.
Sometimes I think you just want to argue with me. They are yin and yang. Contradictions swirling in the beautiful dance that is balance. The two have never seen eye to eye, even though they share the same tragedies, with minor differences. Naruto represents love, Sasuke, hate. Naruto represents hard work and determination, Sasuke, gifted and self centered. They represent our own personal struggles with in ourselves. To avenge or forgive. To strive for glory to protect others, or to gain strength to settle a personal vendetta. To love and understand, or to hate and destroy. Naruto had an easier time getting over his loss since he never knew his parent, but he also had the embodiment of hatred inside him. tearing at his very being. Sasuke knew his family, his clan, and then they were taken away by the one he looked up to the most, his own brother. However, he was treated as a superior and was revered by his classmates and other people in the village. The monster inside him is himself. Naruto knew they shared the same tragedy, but Sasuke didn't agree, he saw himself as something different from Naruto.
