Why can't you deactivate rinnegan?

Hashirama's cells had nothing to so with the Rinnegan. But, Sasuke does have Hashiroids now, Kabuto healed him with them.

Kakashi and Danzo cannot deactivate their Sharingan because the got the eyes from another person

As for Madara, he can only deactivate it when he switches to Sharingan and then deactivates his sharingan

I think Sasuke cannot deactivate his eyes because he is choosing to close his eye rather than deactivate it… This might be because he did not activate/awaken it by himself; instead it was the Yin chakra power that Hagoromo transferred to him that brought about the Rennigan with tomes, just like that of the Juubi or the one on Kaguya's forehead, which they are only able to close.

Anyway, for the sake of arguments, we will see if Kishi does that at the end of the war because Sasuke is different from the rest and gets super free power ups more than anyone without hardwork.

I guess, but the point I was making is that it was not Hashirama's cells that awakened the Rinnegan. So, theoretically if Madara were to get some of Hashirama's chakra another way he could have still gotten the Rinnegan.

Madara on the other hand awakened Rinnegan on both of his eyes, which puts him in a situation to switch between his techniques/Doujutsu...

I thought the Rinnegan was different in that respect, and they held/gave so much powerful chakra that is the reason that Obito could only handle one.

Your correct, my bad Although the user should be able to handle the stress [Usage of Rinnegan] in order to use it efficiently... Since the battle is dragging its better to use it in the appropriate moment [Since his technique needs a cooldown as well]
