his legs were not blown up they were severely burned to the point where he couldnt feel his legs and couldnt move them, and all thanks to hanzo.

This is what happened. Him not going out and absorbing some chakra to restore himself might be plot no jutsu, but maybe he only regenerated after absorbing bees chakra because it was so powerful.
