Why Can't Kakashi Turn Sharingan Off?

Obito hasn't been shown to be able to deactivate Madara's rinnegan either, maybe this is only possible when you transplant your sibling eyes to gain the EMS.

well if that is the case then why can kakashi turn ms on and off at will. and when the sharingan was given to him i believe it was only 1 or 2 tomoe and his current one is 3 tomoe.

Those sections of chakra in the brain of Uchiha that were introduced in the last chapters may have something to do with it. Honestly, simply put, it's simply because he's not an Uchiha.

Uchihas are normally associated with the working of mental energy as emphasized by the manga. They also inherited this 'mental energy' from the Sage through his older son. Henceforth, they should be the only ones to manipulate the energy to turn on or off the Sharingan that basically converts the mental aura/chakra/energy to powerful doujutsus. Kakashi lacks this ability by birth. This should be obvious.

YIf Ao could activate his doujutsu whenever he pleases then Kakashi should be able ti do so to. Espically since he's had it since 13 he should be more than capable of doing so. I mean if he could activate his mangekyo and revert back to the three tome then deactivating it should not be an impossible feat you know.
