The reason I started watching Naruto was because I was going through a rough year, and the ideology of bonds and friendship really helped me get through it. (Sob stories are cheesy I know, but it's true)

I've since lost this depression, but it still worries me that the world is so different when it comes to relationships with others. There's so much hate in this world it sickens me. Friends these days arn't even truly friends; a true friend would give their life for you.

We've become so individualized that all we worry about is our own interests and goals, and don't want to help pthers with theirs.

The idea that one can make bonds as Naruto does in "Naruto" in real life is naive. In real life there will always be hate and no one will truly understand each other.

But what if we did? What if we put others before ourselves? I think this planet would be a much better place. This is of course wishful thinking, but still.

The Bible says "Love Thy Neighbor". This doesn't literally mean neighbor, it means every human. Love them, no matter how different they are from you. I live my life by this, and hopefully the populace can follow suit.

They do .. every story has a moral that helps you in life .. though Naruto's moral is nice .. it's not one of the reasons why I watch it :p

As long as their is Happiness and love in this world there will also be sorrow and hatred. Only through pain can one truly understand another.

Because if I have an actual good reason to hurt a person then some kid in a orange jumpsuit with whiskers won't be able to talk me out of it.

I am with you bro.
That`s why there is a human will. You are able to decide your own what to do. Some people think they are doing good but actually they don`t realized it is wrong. Examples like envy and jealousy will always show in the person because it is just nature of having competition.

I always treat people like I'd want them to treat me.

Others don't see it that simple.

The whole point of the manga is just to teach kids to get along. Its a feel good and friendship is magic story, while its naïve, the whole point of the manga is just to give kids confidence and teach friendship.

I like those kinds of stories.

Yes I suppose getting hurt sucks, but if one grew up with perfect surroundings, under perfect conditions, their life totally flawless; what understanding would they have of those in pain? Physical pain for an example, let's say that one has never so much as been pinched. How would they really understand the pain of someone who simply cut their finger? Let alone someone who had their leg amputated. Yes one can observe the screams and agony, but with no connection to actual physical pain, can they really feel for them? The pinch of the skin may get us a closer understanding what it's like to be stuck with a needle, the penetration of a needle may get us a closer understanding of what it's like to be stabbed with a knife. Unless one actually feels pain, one can never understand the pain of others around them. If one never experiences emotional pain, he is thus secluded from the rest of the world. Now I ask, what good is he to people? He's lightyears away from understanding them. He's lifeless.

Without pain, he has no regard even for nature, because that too requires an understanding of what it's like to lose something. Without any pain at all, he has no regard for his own life. The great thing they call love requires some knowledge of pain, otherwise, acting without awareness may only hurt us in the end. It's not joy that gives us life, but joy and pain working together. The great deeds that have happened in human's history are byproducts of pain and joy. Don't look at pain as a curse, because the true curse would be not experiencing pain and thus be nothing more than a walking zombie, completely useless to all life around you.

Happiness without pain loses its value, it basically becomes non-existent. Whether living such a way is a good thing, is up for debate.

EDIT- And yes Naruto has nice moral behind it, albeit some aspects can be viewed as unrealistic.

if most people followed the prinicples of Christianity and or Naruto, then there would be world peace. Sadly this is not the case and many people who call themselves christians actually do the opposite of the teachings of Christianity

(hint hint the number 1 teaching of christianity is to treat all people with love...includeing your enemies)(though that isnt an easy thing to do)(the christians who go around condemning people are in no way doing Jesus' will.)

Sorry to change the subject. But as naruto is the savior of the ninja world, and Jesus savior of mankind(some of you dont believe but that is just fine) The fact is both of them preach and teach the same things.(in different ways though. Naruto does it through his actions and Jesus did it through just teaching many people(more like the so6p though)

Today the meaning of a friend is changeing. It has gone from being someone you could trust your life with to just someone you hang around. I personally am very loyal to my friends. I might not always help them with small stuff, but if they ever needed my help I would be there. I would take a bullet for my friends, even if some/many of them would not do so for me.

But i really enjoy narutos character and am glad that the show was able to help you out in a tough time.

Have a great night folks and dont stay up to late waiting for the new chapter.

I have deduced that if this proposed ideology suggested by you was placed in practice, it would in turn produce a utopia of sorts; people regardless of sexual orientation, color etc. would exact their lives in peace, prosperity and harmony. Unfortunately, this hypothesis of yours defies the likes of human nature and will never be plausible in the current world we thrive in.

Thats why I liked Nagato/Pain so much, his ideals were in a way "so flawed it makes sense"

I agree. people should stop complaining about how the world is bad, instead state a reason to solve it.

This is honestly a topic I could write a University thesis about...

But in all honesty, it's not in human nature to be in a state of Utopia. By nature we have contrasting views and opinions on everything. We can be products of our own environment (Hence why some people are still racist whereas a lot of the world has abolished it for the most part) or we can be rebellious, but it is still a different path and contrasts with other things. There is no root of evil, jealousy, or anything of the sort. Us as humans naturally react to our emotions and depending on the situation that triggered those emotions; can turn a person evil, and or malevolent. Jealousy is another thing which should be addressed but that is another product of human nature. Even the least jealous person in the world will be jealous towards someone if that particular person is better at what they do best.

I don't want to wall of text this, but in hindsight, for peace to ever be attained humans need to have a mutual understanding between one another. But so many things are in the way of that, that is next to impossible unless they are completely abolished.
