Why can only Uchihas resist Tsukuyomi?

Itachi's statement basically just claimed that he can 1 shot all non Uchihas.

The English dub/sub said you needed the kekkei genkai, instead of sharingan. So that means you need MS to resist it? It makes sense, because Itachi clearly forced Sasuke in to breaking Tsukuyomi lol, he wasn't trying to kill him.

So Nagato is prone to the technique? Even though he has Rinnegan? He doesn't have an Uchiha body.... :x

The tsukuyomi is like any other genjutsu. It can be broken by non uchiha but you would need enormous chakra to overcome it. Probably chakra like the raikages.

I don't think you necessarily need MS to break it. As you mentioned, Sasuke broke it, and I'm pretty sure Sasuke didn't have MS during his fight with Itachi

Yea but would it have made more sense if Itachi forced him to break it (he wasn't trying to kill him after all)? Because it seemed like Itachi dragged out his suffering, by taking forever to go after his other eye, just to make him break the genjutsu.

About Sasuke, Itachi uses Tsukuyomi however he wishes (a day for Sasuke as opposed to 3 days for Kakashi) however he doesn't killl his opponents but keeps them within it long enough to the extent he believes would incapacitate them. ​

My point was when Itachi was confronting Kakashi he was saying from his viewpoint on it only someone capable of awakening the Mangekyo is which he was telling Sasuke until you have the same eyes as me because kid Sasuke fell victim to it

CT doesn't one shot. Itachi already countered it...

Itachi stated you need the Uchiha blood as well to resist Tsukuyomi, so the manga dictates that Nagato is vulnerable to it if he looks at Itachi's eye.

Itachi's goal in that fight wasn't to kill Sasuke though, it was just to get Orochimaru out + make it seem like he was trying. Is it far fetched to say he made him break it?

Even the databook says only someone of the same blood could break Itachis Tsukuyomi. The term Kekkai Genkai refers also to a change of the genotype, only Uchiha have those diversification.
Itachi did everything with Tsukuyomi he could do, that's why he was surprised that Sasuke could breake it with the 3T-Sharingan.
Kuro Zetsu-who represents Madaras will-declared that Sasuke has shown more talent regarding that case than Itachi.

The Uchiha are the true master of the Sharingan and have the special chakra to use it to an extend. I think, that's the reason why only an Uchihs can break Tsukuyomi.
