i always found weird that chad and his abilities are pronounce in spanish, also most of the arrancars names and their techniques come from spanish, dont take this the wrong way, i actually like spanish since it´s my first lenguage but also i always found it weird that a manga contains so many spanish terms.

So why do you think kubo used so much spanish?

It depends on what they are, I think. Everything that has to do with the Arrancar seems to be Spanish, while everything with the Quincy seems to be German.

I always thought Chad was Spanish (his appearance and dark skin).

After the arrancar it's german though.
He is.

Q: What inspired you to have a Mexican character like Chad and to include Hispanic culture in Bleach?

Tite Kubo: It wasn't something intentional. When I designed Chad, he looked like he had a Mexican heritage, so I just wrote that in.
