The latest info. about the upcoming movie implies that Sasuke is working for Konoha under Rokūdaime Hokage Kakashi and yet some Sasuke fans are saying it's better for Sasuke to die in his fight with Naruto instead of being converted, How come? If Sasuke is back serving Konoha then he would be following Itachi's footsteps which is a good thing:

That's what Itachi always wanted for Sasuke anyway, to protect and serve Konoha as a loyal Shinobi under the incumbent Hokage, so why the protest? Why the opposition? Did others seriously expect Sasuke to be successful with his "revolution" ? we all know he's not going to pull through with it, so what do some of his fans want? For him to die believing his misguided ideology? That's a bad way of ending Sasuke's character, it's much better for him to make peace with Naruto and stop this cycle of hatred and violence once and for all.

He wouldn't be following in his brother's footsteps if he returned, considering he would only be protecting Konoha out of guilt. Not because he actually cares or out of the goodness of his heart. Lol

Itachi wanted Sasuke to be in a better position than he was. He wished for him to be adored by all, the most powerful Uchiha (and by default the most powerful shinobi in the village), and applauded as a hero for taking down an S-rank missing-nin and avenging his clan. Itachi's wish for Sasuke would have actually led to him becoming Hokage much sooner had he decided to go back to Konoha after hearing the truth.

I understand why you put the pic of Itachi and Hiruzen. xD You wanted to rustle the jimmies of Sasuke fanboys, because you knew that they would imagine Sasuke in Itachi's spot and Naruto in Hiruzen's. Well played indeed. xD

I don't mind him returning at all, but what i don't want is for him to have a huge character change like Gaara, Kurama and Neji. If he reverts back to Hebi or part 1 Sasuke while at Konoha then i'm cool for him to go back. Since Gaara, Kurama and Neji changed, their character development reversed, especially affecting Gaara, since this dude revolves around Naruto and his ideals

Everyone in every village is a tool. From the Hokage to the lowest Genin. Why? Because at the end of the day they all work not for themselves but to protect the village and, if they can in general, to keep peace in the shinobi world. The word "tool" here is not meant to be used in a negative manner. They still have their own minds (well, bar the Root fodders like Sai). The initial point behind the shinobi system was to bring peace by getting everyone to work toward a common cause, that being the general welfare. It works at times, other times it doesn't. Honestly, the only reason it doesn't work as well as it should is due to the antagonists ruining it... all of which have been major Uchiha. Seems to tell alot about who truly needs to change here. Lol

There is a difference between guilt and realization, if it is a matter of guilt for Itachi's memory then he wouldn't be trying to do this revolution of his in the first place, but if it is a matter of realization after fighting and conversing with Naruto then Sasuke serving Konoha would not be a matter of a burden of conscience but rather a realization that he was wrong with his previous beliefs.

In my opinion, the reason he believes the shinobi system is wrong is out of guilt or rather regret over what occurred with his brother and clan. He didn't seem to mind when people like Haku, Zabuza, and whoever else died... he didn't think of changing the system then even though he saw it was corrupt. Also, he's seen time and time again, even been told that only he and Naruto can change things through cooperation. That still hasn't changed his mind yet. If all of that doesn't change his mind, realistically another one of Naruto's tnjs shouldn't either.


However, I do understand what you mean and it does seem that Kishimoto is leading up to that.

It's just that I don't see the author pulling this off in a way that won't seem forced on Sasuke's end. Lol Most of what Kishimoto has done with Sasuke's character can be attributed to fanservice, a prime example of that being this upcoming fight.

Sasuke will not die, and may not return to Konoha.
Kishi had insert quite a few hints, especially in current chapters.
When Madara recovered, he never said about his vision..
This could means that Indra had leave him and Indra now is inside Sasuke.
Sasuke said he wanted to 'revolution', this term can also similar to IT.
Sasuke had to kill Naruto, based on Indra knowing who is Naruto and Naruto had already sealed BZ (Child).

Hagoromo had "Entrust" something to Naruto, knowing Uchiha Sasuke might change his decision.
And Hagoromo is leaving to Naruto to resolve.
Naruto did said; "I am not Ashura and Sasuke isn't Indra, either".
The only possible way is; to remove both Indra & Ashura chakra from Sasuke & himself.
And to seal them; as Indra knew and wanted Sasuke to kill Naruto.

As Sasuke may take over Nagato village/country. Both with similar Eyes Power.
Naruto said "My Way of Ninja" and Sasuke is his first bond, no matter what it cost.
Even if Sasuke die, Naruto will use his power to revive him.

I've got to admit, I would be disappointed if Sasuke has some sort of conversion experience like Gaara had.
And imagining Sasuke back in Konoha just doesn't seem right: there have been unforgivable acts committed both by the village and by Sasuke. That kind of tension and (probably) mistrust are what escalated into the Uchiha massacre.
I can see Sasuke reconsidering how he goes about a revolution and perhaps realizing the battle is for citizens' hearts/minds and not just for a political position. Winning in the long run isn't something he could attain in one battle.

How is ot implied he's working under the rokudaime again? He said if he isn't here, I have no choice but to protect you I guess. How do we know he wasn't talking to someone else about someone else. For example "he" could be suigetsu/jugo and "you" could be karin. Or "he" could be naruto and "you" could be sakura but doesn't mean he's gone back to live in the village maybe he's visiting?
