all churches--at some point--get corrupted. however, it doesn't matter in what you choose to believe... it's belief itself that keeps "religion" going. the Egyptian religion/mythology lasted over 4000 years, while Christianity is barely at 2000 years. We call it Egyptian Mythology, so should we also say Christian Mythology? or is Christianity so current that it's no myth...? i don't know... also, i don't believe that u must believe in the Bible to believe in God... Religion and belief are different...

i have been using NB for a long time and never really felt like making an account, but religious debates always make me want to voice my opinion.

ok first i want to say to all of the religious people.... stop saying what you think we think. you dont know what an agnostic/athiest truly thinks and you cant know what anybody thinks unless they tell you so stop please.

next i want to say that in life and death situations all people pray to be saved because they dont want to die. it is natural so if they pray to god it doesnt mean they truly believe it just means they want to be saved. i could pray to be saved and never truly believe in god, now does that make me a true believer? no because i dont truly believe i just wanted to be saved from a situation that i couldnt control.

next i want to say i am agnostic because i dont have any proof that god exists or doesnt. there is proof on both sides that cant really be called proof because there is so much speculation about it (the bible and the big bang)

also i see that everyone is bashing on the athiests/agnostics. that isnt very loving to them. you can try to convert us if you want but throwing a tantrum, sticking your thumbs in your ears and saying you are right no matter what the others say to you doesnt help the converting cause.

For example if you watch american tv-shows they thank god when they win a million dollars. That is stupid if anything. Doesn't bible say something about sharing and that you shouldn't have too much wealth?

That doesn't mean we should force ourselves in poverty, it means that we shouldn't make money our priority in our life. Giving to the community yes is apart of the job yes, but thats up to the person who is given the money and how they perceive their own religion, because not all of us see Christianity in the same way just look at the ten million denotations there are. Thanking God for something good in your life isn't a bad thing, and we don't choose what state we are born in rich or poor. But what we do know is that whatever position we are put in God has put us there to make a difference big or small.

Those were rules our ancestors if they wanted to earn the love of God, and rules he set up so we would know what we had to do to stay in the grace of God , but that is why God sent Jesus so that all we have to do is, but accept Jesus as our savior, and walk in his footstep as closely as we can. He created us to be his people, but he didn't want a bunch of robots following him just because it was programmed into them. He wants all of us to chose, and come to him willingly, and it in turn gave us our will to chose. Adam and Eve back then represented the best of us, and all of us. and in choosing to believe Satan over God we fell along side Adam, and Eve, and that in turn introduced us to sin.

My point was that thanking god for material stuff but saying to the africans that "god works in mysterious ways" is silly.

im sorry ok... that is a ridiculous thing man made to justify things like that theres no place in the bible that says that therefore is man made and whoever prays for material stuff is being ignorant because God gives you what you need not what you want thats also saying you got a good relationship.

No God didn't Satan did and she fell for it. I'm pretty sure the whole 6000 years has been proven wrong through science , and pretty much anyone who still believes that is in denial.
