Why are they so reluctant in showing us some real action?

Both in the anime and in the manga. I mean, it's been a while since that the whole Boruto thing is going on but, so far, we haven't seen much action really.

Last episode had potential and it could've been something, but, as always, they had to follow the recipe and make it boring and uninteresting.

We haven't seen any of the children using elemental natures or any other cool stuff.

- Boruto is said to have 3 elemental natures, yet, he only applied wind to a rasengan (unconsciously) so far
- Sarada only used CES and she does have lightning release
- Don't know about Mitsuki, but he possibly has a elemental nature and other cool abilities too

Why are they are holding back that much?

Agreed. It's common for Uchiha to have katon also. So by default she should have katon and Raiton like Sasuke.
