I watched an episode of OP on AS and they were just glowing with happiness. I mean like everybody was just smiling for no reason...why? Are they always this happy? I mean nothings wrong with it I just wanted to know...

weird xD , when i read "turtle" i thought of naruto Lol. Well, idk what happened , but , maybe is bc they needed something and since they stopped in an island ... (i'm talking about OP , since i'm watching that anime and since everytime they stop in something , is bc they need something , or a nakama or some shit for their traveling).

I would say for the most part they are all very casual/relaxed/laid back which you may be interpreting as happy, then again Luffy is almost always smiling which makes it that much more awesome when he gets his angry face because then you know someone messed up. There are key moments where they are not so happy, Ennies Lobby and Marineford and Alabasta for example.

However, Luffy is just a pirate who wants to live his life to its fullest. He looks for adventures and excitements, and he laughs at death multiple times.

They're usually happy as they just go wherever the f*ck they want with whoever they want. I think you're talking about the Jaya Arc. : yeah they aren't always as happy as then as they were/are very excited to go to Skypiea in that arc.
