Why are the war arc fights not getting much time?

Commando team vs Deidara/Sasori was about 1 episode
Ino-Shika-Cho vs Kinkaku was 1 episode
Ino-Shika-Cho vs Asuma was about 1 and a half episodes.
Darui/Samui vs Ginkaku/Kinkaku was about 1 and a half episodes.
Darui vs Kakuzu was only on for like 5 seconds
Kakashi + Fodder vs Zabuza/Haku was 1 episode
Kakashi + Gai + Lee + Fodder vs 6 Swordsmen + Pakura + Gari was shown for like 1 second
Hiashi vs Neji's dad was on for 5 seconds
Choza vs Dan was on for 5 seconds
And then you get random bits and pieces of episodes for Neji, Kiba, Shino, Hinata...

I see no reason for the anime to be rushing. Why not stretch these fights a little and add more drama and intensity to them? Its like the anime is trying to avoid showing fights. Sakura + Chiyo vs Sasori on the other hand went on seemingly forever.

That is kind of lame to be honest. In part One they built up all the other fights as important like Choji vs Jirobu, Neji vs Kidomaro, Kiba vs Sakon, Tayuya vs Shikamaru, and Lee/Gaara vs Kimimaro. And it added to the series. Even if guys aren't that strong, those fights are still important because lives are still on the line and characters you are supposed to care about are in them.

That is kind of lame to be honest. In part One they built up all the other fights as important like Choji vs Jirobu, Neji vs Kidomaro, Kiba vs Sakon, Tayuya vs Shikamaru, and Lee/Gaara vs Kimimaro. And it added to the series. Even if guys aren't that strong, those fights are still important because lives are still on the line and characters you are supposed to care about are in them.

i guess so...but the anime people cant just increase the battle lengths...it wouldnt be following the manga very well....

I agree. They could please so many fans AND avoid filler episodes at the same time if they just made filler battles. The manga didnt cover the fights either, so I was really hoping that the anime crew would notice this and be like "instead of the inevitable filler episodes we will do, why not just make that fight"

I agree with you completely.

OT: It's because we're so close to the climax of everything. While some people believe strongly in story development and such, there are those that don't. Either Kishi knows that if he drags it out too long he's gonna piss off the people that don't care about development, or he's getting impatient himself and is rushing and getting to the point. Either way the anime is doing a good job right now of picking up on his slack even if it is only non canon fillers.

True but Anime runs a lot faster than Manga anyway, so extending some of these battles wont affect thing much, it can only improve it. Also it means less stupid episodes like Allied Mom Forces.

CHOJI"S MOM IS A FILLER CHARACTER!!...
i hope that Kishi draws her ENTIRELY different...
atleast if they extend manga fights, its interesting...
