Why are the eye keke genkai's changed so much?

Hey everyone, i was watching Naruto a couple of days ago and start thinking to myself, why has all the eye techniques changed so much from there first appereance and power?(namely the sharingan) First time we saw the sharingan its ability was to read movements and copy them, simple enough. Then they added genjutsu which isn't a bad thing at all, later when Itachi appeared and introduced the mangekyo sharing which was pretty cool. Now we have susanoo wierd, ultimate 1 time justus/abilities and the biggest one...susanoo. NOW THIS IS PRETTY DAMN COOL, but all things aside the sharigan has strayed away from what it used to be so much its now even the same thing anymore. When is the last time we were made aware a that a character used the sharingan to read movements or copy a jutsu? Its not a big deal but just a small thing that kinda bothers me. Well tell me what you guys think

Agreed, I might sound dumb but the first time I saw Kakashi use sharingan in action against Zabuza I was thinking Kakashi cannot lose, he could just copy everyone's jutsu's and they can't do anything about it. But now, Kamui > everyone

yeah kishi had a great balance then he added ameratsu and susanoo and completely unbalanced the entire narutoverse it is turning into dbz and i like naruto because it was like rock paper scissors especially after he did the 5 changes in chakra nature now it seems like he made the uchiha greater than everyone else cause their isn't even a senju equivalent maybe if all the senju if their was another senju not just tsunade and they all had wood style it would have a balance but he didnt expand anybody else's kekkai genkai to at least match the uchiha

Sasuke uses it to track movements all the time. HE did it against Bee and the raikage, and itachi used it's first ability to see chakra against kabuto. Itachi also copied kabuto's water jutsu inside izanami.

I know they use it, but there isn't the same focus or 1st person perspective of it as there used to be, the only reason we see the basic skills of the sharingan is when it's needed, it's nothing more then a plot device now.

Hell, the byakugan is completely useless now compared to the rinnegan and sharingan, in the beginning we got the feeling it was compariable or more powerfull then the sharingan, look at it now.....If you can find it in any episode that is, its only purpose in this war has been, being binocoulars.
