Why Are Sum Humans So Selfish

Humans may be the only species to ever exist that destroys everything in its path and then act completely baffled when that same energy is reciprocated.

Somewhere along the line humans put this little idea in their heads that their the center of the universe or something.

How many lifeforms went extinct because of humans? How many are going extinct because of humans?

Alot of humans often talk about peace and trying to preserve the planet.

No. you're not trying to preserve the planet. You're trying to preserve yourselves.

How we're going to flourish on this planet when we destroy every single prerequisite required for us to even thrive on it?

Humans value their own existence to such high levels of importance that they blindly destroy everything around them for their own sake.

We are an ecosystem, we're suppose to coexist together with this planet and all its children.

Not destroy everything just because we feel threaten that it'll be the end of us.

i wouldnt say its selfish to help preserve your species. say back in the primitive times when hunters would go out and kill the dangerous animals that would easily slaughter a village. our place at the top of the food chain just means we dont have to be slaughtered. but a Lioness with hungry cubs would easily slaughter all of us if it needed food and kills other animals all the time. is that selfish on the lions part? sort of...but its the circle of life and death

i dont think its right when selfish behavior wont allow you to coexist with other humans, thats when its a problem imo. none of us asked to be placed on this earth or at the top of the food chain. we tried coexisting with wildlife but they lack the intellect for us to coexist peacefully for the most part. we're placed here to create i think and the world gives us lots of resources to do so, why not use them?
