The fans prefer to call them by their Japanese/Original pronunciation/spelling. Like I like to call them in the proper Japanese way of Surname first followed by Given Name. That is respectful to the source.

I wonder. Why are you bothered about this? It should have no bearing to your enjoyment of the manga...this looks like a "nit pick" or an excuse for an argument.

It may have to do with the food salad, or the name Sarada may come from the name of Sarada Devi; wife and spiritual counterpart of Ramakrishna. If the latter is true, calling her Salad is incorrect.
