I think Hinata is an awesome character in the manga. She is always concerned about everyone else. Quite recently she's become strong, confident and a real asset to Konoha. I mean, I actually though it was pretty cool when she tried to fight Pein to save Naruto. I think she has a lot of good insight, her taijutsu is good and she is just a lovable character. I mean, say she was actually involved in the plot. She could have done really important stuff like point out that Kakuzu has four hearts or that Sasori is nothing but a heart. For someone that's not even supposed to be a main character, she's had more influence on Naruto than Sakura. How would the battle with Pein have turned out if she didn't intervene. She is not some weak and feeble character. I think she's a very heroic and influential character. I mean, she put her life on the line TWICE for Naruto. The fact that she is in love with Naruto makes her stronger. If you buy-in to Naruto's ninja way then you automatically buy-in to hers. I don't think Hinata is a fodder, why on earth do people even think that?
Why are so many people hating on Hinata?

In the case of Hinata influencing Naruto more than Sakura, I think Hinata would be best with Naruto...

yeah, shes developed a lot, and yes i respect that rack, but dude she's just a huge **** block. like she awkwardly trys to squeeze herself into the naruto/sakura/sauske love triangle.
It wasn't that bad, until ppl started saying she was the reincarnation of Kaguya.
One more thing for the OP, trying to elevate Hinata while bashing Sakura isn't going to do much better for you, for instance, Sakura was keeping Naruto alive for the last few chapters, I doubt if Hinata was in that position she could do that.

OT: Hinata Hyuga is a controversial character for three ordinary reasons, and now a recent fourth development.
1. Some do not like her character due to her feelings for Naruto. These people typically are those who want Naruto and Sakura to end up together. While this may not apply to every fan of said pairing, it is typical to find some who go out of their way to insult her have this correlation.
2. Some do not like her as they find her one dimensional, and find it necessary to explain this in a condescending manner.
3. She has low panel time, and thus, her full strength isn't shown. It is notable that many on the site care mostly about the powerful or flashy characters. Since Hinata doesn't fill either she's typically labeled, "Useless," or, "Fodder."
4. Kaguya had the Byakugan, and some Hyuga/Hinata fans have begun speculation regarding a sudden power up, or the notion Hinata is a reincarnation. Some of this stems from the Byakugan link to Kaguya. Some of this stems from cross over reasons (1, 2, & 3). Some come from the fact a secondary character would suddenly be more relevant than a primary character depending on Kishi's actions.
That would be, in my opinion, the primary factors that lead to Hinata being bashed.
