Why are people surprised that Senju > Uchihas?

It's not as if it was something new. It was said plenty of times in this manga. Not Uchiha is Uchiha Madara. When you realise that their supposed greatest genius only unlocked a one tomoe sharingan for the first time when he seemed to be over 10, you starts to wonder if the Uchihas were that good. Even Sasuke stated that just unlocking Sharingan was a rarity in the clan:

Both Madara and Obito have Hashi's DNA to amplify themselves, add that to the fact that Madara is Edo...

Take away Madara's EDO and Hashi's DNA and Obito's Senju DNA...

That leaves Hashirama (Already proven to be a league ahead of Madara), Tobirama (From last chapter it is shown his S/T Ninjutsu bears striking similarity to Minato's) and Tsunade in the least who can OHKO with a punch, cannot die in battle and the best healer ever.

Hashirama takes Madara with Kyuubi... Don't you think he could take Madara+Itachi? Tobirama and Tsunade Take Obito (No Hashi DNA) and Sasuke.

this weeks chapter shows which of the two shinobi are stronger between madara and hashirama. but it doesn't say which clan is stronger, the senju can have some weakass people and so can the uchiha or they both can have some strong people. all we've been shown is that hashi>>>madara not senju>>>>uchiha jussayin
