Does it really matter who casts the Infinite Tsukuyomi? They both want the same "dream"

Well i believe madara only sold obito that lie to get him to go along with the plan in the first place. i think all madara wants is peace through brute force. i think he wants to control the world with power not through genjutsu

I think there's a difference in their 'peace'

Obito wants everyone to live in a world were their dreams are true.

I believe Madara wants the world to progress in peace under his control, and his control only.

no infinte Tsukuyomi doesn't mean that everyone will be put in that genjutsu...! it will be casters jutsu, meaning if madara casts it then he will be able to manipulate everyone with his will but if obito casts it then madara will fall under the genjutsu but obito will be able to manipulate everyone...! it's not jubi who's casting jutsu for now it's jubi jin...!

One person becomes ruler of the world and the other person becomes just another victim.

Where did you see them 'fighting' over it?

Madara is the leader of this plan, and what he says is supposed to go. It was part of the plan all along to sacrifice Obito by reviving himself.

Obito went against his plans by becoming the Juubi's Jinchuuriki...in essence he was telling Madara that he was not his -----. Hence the 'disagreement' seen between the two of them. But they didn't fight each other over the Juubi. You can see immediately after Obito became Juubito, Madara expresses indifference. Why? because even though Obito went against him, their goals still remained the same and Madara would just have to re-adjust his plans to fit with Obito's disruption of said plans.

They're still working together, even though you we haven't seen them fight side-by-side.

obito wants wat madara promised. dream world.

what madara wants is something different. peace through eradicating all shinobi, maybe some form of IT but doubt its like what he said. id say closest thing would be taking back all chakra from everyone mixed with what nagato wanted.

Because Madara has always been vain, arrogant, and selfish. Even if he has convinced himself or others of what his dream is, the truth is he just want's to be in control. Obito is in his way.

The reason he expressed indifference is because he still believes he could 1-up obito with his trump card.

Ego,Obito wants a a simple dream of Him and Rin, Madara wants a more grandiose dream, so it matters who controls it.

obito wants peace and to help people achieve their dreams (offering to make naruto hokage). . madara wants to put everyone to sleep.

,Obito wants a a simple dream of Him and Rin, Madara wants a more grandiose dream
if all he wanted was rin, why did he never mention her having anything to do with it? it was always "i want a world of truth, peace and love. where heroes dont make excuses in front of graves etc". nothing more grandiose than wanting to unite the world as one consciousness.

Even if he has convinced himself or others of what his dream is, the truth is he just want's to be in control
"the world need not change any further, let it sleep in infinite tsukiyomi"

I think they're fighting over it because Obito wants true peace and he wants to be the one who brings this true peace. He wants to be recognized as the one who revolutionized and changed the Shinobi world, this probably stems from his childhood desire to become Hokage which he ,it seems, still wants to do as seen in the last few chapters.

On the other hand I think Madara just wants to be at the top. He stopped caring about the world and rage quit here when he says
"It'd be better for us to look at this world as just entertainment..." so I don't think he cares too much about bringing about peace (and he couldn't careless about the Ninja alliance because nobody he knew or cared about is necessarily alive), I personally think he's just letting in to his God complex and wants to be god because if you notice he mentions being at the top a lot like

here:

and here:

So you could say Madara is a little childish... but I think it's kinda cute ....
