I Used to run competitions and it was usually a Kenyan taking first place xD
But there's one Guy from Iraq who's probably the most durable marathon runner in our country. He always gets first place and the number 2 finishes 15 minutes after the Iraqi. He literally sprints non-stop for an hour and 30 minutes, maybe longer. Idk how he does that
but the wr for marathon is 2h:02m:..
I only Saw him run a half marathon. If he sprints that non-stop and looks ok after finishing, 50 minutes more would be doable for that Guy. He lives in my town and runs 6 days a week, Every week.
do you know any good training for half marathon??
When blacks are everywhere you learn to run, or get mugged and lynched.
Nah, it's a fact.what a nonsense comment
It appears to be the result of favorable somatotypical characteristics lending to exceptional biomechanical and metabolic economy/efficiency; chronic exposure to altitude in combination with moderate-volume, high-intensity training (live high + train high), and a strong psychological motivation to succeed athletically for the purpose of economic and social advancement.
We have found that young Kenyan kids from rural areas who do a lot of running have incredible VO2 maxes. They have VO2 maxes most of us would dream to have. It's probably due to a combination of factors: that they're very active and living at high altitude and perhaps some genetic component. When you see kids in the morning going to school, they're often running. Kids travel some seven to 10 kilometers a day on foot, often running. How many American kids run to school every day?
Just because Larry Bird and Michael Jordan are tall doesn't mean they aren't first and foremost great athletes. Part of Olympian Michael Phelps' record-breaking swimming is his unusual body shape, which is genetically inborn; you can't train for longer arms.

The studied Kenyans had less mass for their height, longer legs, shorter torsos, and more slender limbs. One of the researchers described the Kenyan physical differences as "bird-like," noting that these traits would make them more efficient runners, especially over long distances.
This supports the complex interaction between genotype, phenotype, and socioeconomic factors driving the remarkable dominance of Kenyan distance runners.
The current dominance of African runners in long-distance running is an intriguing phenomenon that highlights the close relationship between genetics and physical performance.

It is to be borne in mind that extraordinary athletic achievements by certain populations are without doubt a successful combination of many different factors.
And even more amazing is that three-fourths of the Kenyan champions come from an ethnic minority of 4.4. million, or 0.06% of global population.
Nah, it's a fact.
Environmental and Genetic factors:

(1) genetic predisposition
(2) development of a high maximal oxygen uptake as a result of extensive walking and running at an early age
(3) relatively high hemoglobin and hematocrit
(4) development of good metabolic "economy/efficiency" based on somatotype and lower limb characteristics
(5) favorable skeletal-muscle-fiber composition and oxidative enzyme profile
(6) traditional Kenyan/Ethiopian diet (least evidence for)
(7) living and training at altitude
(8) motivation to achieve economic success

Explaining the "Live High, Train Low":
Basically: Low oxygen/atm causes your kidney to produce erythropoietin (EPO) -> Hemoglobin which allows your blood to carry more oxygen.
