Or on a vacation.

I wanna see Jason or go toe to toe with Lil reese and O'Block.

I wanna see leather face go toe to toe with compton pirus.

I wanna see micheal myers against the yakuza.

Matter of fact, I wanna see a horror movie where the guy is terrorizing nothing but old people. A old lady running from the slasher, she slips, breaks her hips and dies.

So that there is as little third-party intervention as possible. There're also a fair amount of movies in urban areas.

That last part made me lol, though.

Because mainstream horror films are basic b**hes that appeal only to either A. Preteens and Teens who scream everytime someone breathes, or B. Casual horror film viewers.

If you want solid horror films that are not cliche, by-the-numbers horror films, you're going to have to go digging and there's a solid chance they will be foreign.

Some good examples of A-class horror films [that are set in unusual - as per your request]:
* Alien - slow burning horror film, set in space.
* Saw - while the series eventually downgraded itself, the first film is a psychological horror film, set in a bathroom.
* the Descent - intense horror film, set in a cave.
* The Shining - slow burning psychological horror film, set in an isolated house in the snowy mountains.
* Dog Soldiers - an interesting spin on werewolves as it pits a team of soldiers against a swarm of werewolves, highlighting undertones such as the tactical ferociousness of war, set in an isolated house in the woods.

I could go on, but those are a few examples.
