Why are fire jutsus so pathetic?

They look cool but the whole fireball variant gets old. They should at least have things like firewalls, fire enhanced weaponry, etc. (at least in terms of manga canon)

Madara seems to be the best fire user since he is the epitome of Uchihas but outside of the uchiha trio Madara,itachi and sasuke. Fire techniques aren't used a lot anymore. That doesn't make them suck but its just how many or how strong can you make the fire ball or what can you coat in fire and throw.

It would have been cool if katon-based ninja could do what Sasuke does with Enton (shield of Amaterasu, coats his weapons with Enton etc.) but with normal katon jutsu.

,compare the flame to the size of the Susano'o and you can clearly see it's some next level s**t,not to mention the range and area of effect of the technique.That's by far the most impressive and larger katon of the manga,and only few other shinobi can produce such scale.

Or the Goukka Mekkyaku that required several shinobi to counter it.

Compare those jutsu I presented to other elemental ones and it's hard that they're gonna come even close to that.Of course there are an handful of exceptions like Kisame or Mei or even Kakuzu.
