Why are emo kids hated?

I've always wondered why emo kids were so disliked and I'm still wondering, what makes them so bad? We all know the people who wear dark, tight clothing and weird colored hair and makeup and nail polish and various body piercings that go/went to our schools- you really can't miss them. xd

As a non-emo, I must say I have no problem with them- they never **** with anyone at all, so why are they despised by other social groups?

Hated IDK. Looked down upon, mostly because they're different and come off to be "weird". They're also gothic which some people relate to satanism(when it's not) so people view them as devil worshippers and try to avoid them. "that answer your question?"

Because most children are brought up to believe in the bible and the devil and all the stories in there. So when we see someone dressed in all dark colors with piercings, they resemble some sort of demonic humanoid. Or is that just me

It's psychological. Some people are so ridiculed, they "punish" themselves, but derive some kind of twisted pleasure from it. You can't truly blame them.
