Why are anime episodes so choppy now?

I think the animation is getting worse and worse. Like in the latest episode when Madara was jumping all over the place I couldn't even figure out what's going on because it's so choppy. Did they get lazy and stop making smooth animation now?

you only think its choppy because they are trying to show the speed of everyone now. There was an infamous cartoon face during the Pain fight but its really just because they are trying to show the incredible speed

I think the animation is at nearly the best it's been lately and Episode 322 has been the best animation this series has had imo.
