Whose sacrifice is better? Minato's or Itachi's?

I really like how the anime interpretted Minato and Kushina's sacrafice, I think the music did something to me that made me understand it moreso than Itachi's.

Anyway both gambled. Naruto couldve easily become like gaara or worse. Sasuke couldve turned out good if it wasnt for tobi. Minato's gamble is paying off atm, whilst itachi's isnt. In the end i believe sasuke would come back to the good side and with this itachi's gamble wouldve paid off

yea this explains it pretty much naruto even said himself that it could have easily been the other way around between him and sasuke

Minato's didn't make sense, because he didn't have to do it. Even Kushina was like "wtf." Only plot kept Tobi or Akatsuki from coming back the next day to steal Naruto and the Fox in one nice little package...

I think they're both very noble, both very difficult IDK how anyone can choose from a nonbiase, nonfanboy point of view. Minato risked everything he loved for his village, even sealed a demon within his own child. Itachi had to Murder his whole village, including his family in cold blood, and then like a G carried that hate and anger of the leave village on his shoulders like a quiet professional.

They both were great, but Itachi not killing Sasuke is basically putting the village and the world at risk right now.

Minato saved his home by sacrificing himself and is pretty much saving the world because of his foresight in knowing Tobi would cause great harm in the future, so he knew his son would need the kyuubi's power. Now it's sealed within Naruto and he's protecting the entire world.

Basically Minato's sacrafice was greater imo because of his incredible foresight in knowing his son would be the child of the prophecy and protect the ninja world, so he gave his son the power to aid him in that quest.

Itachis and Minatos were both great. Although there is no way where you can say Itachis is better. He killed A WHOLE CLAN but for 2 people. Himself and Sasuke. Minato and his wife agreed to killed their self for a WHOLE VILLAGE. If Minato and Kushina werent there most the people in the hidden leaf would die.

better? why compare? WTH both of their sacrifices were great, they both protected the leaf village even though their sacrifices were completely different. Minato and Kushina both sacrifice there lives to protect Naruto from the ninetails even though Minato had to seal the ninetails in his own son, he really didn't have a choice?!
Itachi was ordered by the 3rd and the elder's (according to tobi's version) to eliminate his own clan, because the uchiha were a threat to the village they were planning to attack the village. but Itachi prevented them from attacking by killing the entire clan that one night, but he couldn't even kill is only little brother Sasuke. which in the end he whated sasuke to be a hero who avenged his family and clan by killing his brother itachi (without sasuke knowing the real truth)but instead sasuke became a criminal(because of tobi's manipulation)...

I think there is more of a mystery to Itachi? who knows until the edo is stop? I'm hoping he will reveal more secrets about that night and the real truth from Itachi himself to Sasuke. :shrug:

But from what know now they are both Hero's in my book and they both sacrifice alot for their village. If I had to pick? it has to be Minato. because of the event of the ninetails and the masked man.

I personally think itachi's sacrifice is better than minato's. Killing an entire clan is better than killing himself or sacrificing himself along with his wife. Though minato is the savior he was selfish coz he wanted his son to be acknowledged as hero by the village. The similarities between both are both have sacrificed for the village and for their loved one.

Minato was selfish??! lol..what a joke...at that state he has no f***ing other choice, so he gotta seal that god-d*** Kyubi in his own son, and being a jinchuriki and lack of parental love in the ninja world is not easy...use your brain before posting your lame thread :flaw:

I say Itachi, Minato was considered a hero, so what he did was acknowledged by everybody and every body loved him, Itachi sacrificed everything literally, love, family (except for one ), clan, reputation, and everybody hated him, he wasn't loved, he was hated but he lived with it, minato did what anyother Hokage would have done for their village, though it takes a true hero to do what Itachi did,

Minato fanboys gotta start seeing that what Minato did was normal, he died for his son just like any father would do, he did what a hokage should do, but not everyone could kill their own blood for peace and the sake of village.
