Watching the DEATH of best friend and parents is more painful than watching DEAD parents and clan members

But Pain lost all that and was constantly attacked by all three powerful nations. So while his clan (Uzumaki) was disbanded before him he had to struggle and fight for food, clean water, clothing, safety, and other basic necessity. sasuke was literally tortured by itachi and itachi repeatedly played the the video of how he killed his parents many times through genjutsu.
Watching your parents die once is one thing, watching it again and again until you get mentally traumatized is something else.
I can't even imagine the pain sasuke went through.
