Wheras Karin's chakra chains dismantled Spiral Zetsu's Shinsuusenju. There's a disparity.

Hashirama used sage mode to boost his shinjusenju though, I think the other guy was refering to base Hashirama instead. And don't underestimate the chakra chains, the chakra chains have neg diffed anything and everything we've seen them used against in the manga, that includes Kurama, the strongest of the bijuu.
