So who do you support?
An entertaining question to answer, but one that is irrelevant as there exists no individual who is capable of sparing the end of the U.S. as a centralized federal power. It's just not possible. Multiple events are to compound on each other. Economics, ideology, globalization - nothing can stop these things from having their influence on our population, and nothing will stop that population from fragmenting and warring among itself.
While I like Trump's brazen nature and don't disagree with many things he says he wants to accomplish; I disagree with his assertion that making him president should have anything to do with most of those. He is a nationalist - which is not bad, but he is also quite heavily fascist and believes in an office of the president that is capable of acting in very broad ways with executive decree. That, to me, is concerning. Even if he would be just and fair in his use of such authority - the person to inherit that authority is another issue.
Worse - Trump is a "feel good" for conservative mentalities. Him winning the election would serve only to placate portions of the population that are on the verge of armed revolt. He may put a temporary stop to many of the conflicts that have been pushing people to that ends - but he will not eliminate the sweeping authorities or route the insurgency that has corrupted our education system and our media - mostly because it would require a cultural revolution to achieve such an end. As such, Trump simply allows more time for those tainted by a progressive upbringing to fill the ranks of the military, fill the ranks of able-bodied adults, and wait in the wings for the next opportunity.
Even though some compare him to Reagan (a dubious comparison, I would argue), it is worth noting that for all of the improvements the Reagan administration made and for all of the conservative values he represented.... here many of us who are conservative still are - the universities remained a haven of brainwashing, history is being erased, and we are even worse off than we were before Reagan.
Even if Trump were a new Reagan - we are simply leaving our children to face an even worse set of circumstances.
Rubio is a limp ****, no sense in even mentioning him. He'll be giving fellatio to the democrats within five seconds of his inauguration. May as well just elect a democrat if you support him.
Rand Paul is not his father, and plays far too many party political games for anyone's good.
Cruz is a far better choice among the candidates. He isn't perfect, but he at least talks about the Constitution and the constraints placed upon the powers and authorities of government. I do, however, believe that he will end up caving to party politics in the long run, and will end up being not too much different from a Rubio vote.
Sanders is understandably popular with a generation that has been trained via stimulus response in schools to like him. That said, he's completely out of touch with reality. Plus, he's a socialist.
Hillary is really the only other one on the scene. She is a criminal and belongs in jail...
but, her being elected to office would actually be the best thing for the nation as a whole. The election of a blatant criminal and totalitarian loon like her to the office would stand as the last nail in the coffin and break any delusional attachments conservatives have with a return to a lawful government via peaceful processes.
Thus, while I do not support Hillary as a person - her election is what would secure the revolution that must occur soon if it is to be done before we are all in some variety of "fun camps."
