And after that I've never really become overly fond of any of the other characters. I like Gai, but not enough where I'd call him a favorite.

After Kakashi's "death" I actually considered not reading the series anymore(I was also kind of pissed off about the stupid way he died, the plot no jutsu protection for the paths), because of both him and Jiraiya being gone, but luckily I wanted to see how Nagato/Pain wound up being defeated and was rewarded in the end with his revival.

its a tough one. Orochimaru would have to be on it. Itachi and pein would be a tough one to decide and i cant leave jiraiya out because he is really funny but also a great ninja. so i guess i would have to say i have a top 4.
