Look at the difference in animation quality...

The Killer Bee vs Sasuke fight had pretty good animation too, but it was too fast so you it didn't have as much details as it should

The characters themselves aren't boring but since OP's animation sucks the fights are worst then they should be

Champloo had great artwork, but it didn't really do much for me beyond that

I'm talking about the fight itself. Samurai champloo had shadows and color tones and shit. While naruto as of late has been single shades.
For example the shadow of killer b's swords are shown on saauke's face when he's tracking them yet his high collar isn't leaving a shadow neither is his hair despite him no longer combing it from his face . Where as in samurai shamploo karia's hat is always casting a shadow on his shoulders and neck. Same goes for mugens hair.
