1. Jiraya. here's some of his pupils: Naruto, Minato, Nagato, Yahiko, Konan.

Orochimaru: He has some pretty good "experiments" that turned out good: Sasuke (duh) Kabuto (duh) Yamato(oro created him. without oro he would be NOTHING.)

I'd say orochimaru and madara.Look at how much kabuto and sasuke learnt under oro and how much obito learnt under madara. Jiraya was only a good teacher to the Ame orphans and maybe minato. But he bearly taught naruto at all besides rasengan. Naruto learnt more from kakashi and the toads than jiraya.

OT: Either Hiruzen - trained the Sanin from nobodies (apart from Tsunade with her Senju body) to legendary ninja known throughout the whole world (all of whom were Hokage candidates) - or Jiraiya because he trained three possible "children of prophecy" (though an Uzumaki with Rinnegan can't be too hard to train and he only taught him the basics).

In conclusion I say Hiruzen because Jiraiya's students were naturally stronger due to tailed beasts or bloodlines (bar Minato and Konan). Jiraiya's very close behind though.

I don't really remember any of his feats but I guess to be the leader of a rebellion you must have some fire power and good intelligence (or just let Nagato stomp everyone lol jk).

I totally agree with all exept the yahiko being weak part.

He may have not been op,but he was the original leader of the akatsuki. Though we don't know much further of him other than his nature type and that he had a sword suggesting he was at least mediocre in kenjutsu. I doubt someone weak would rise to be a leader while konan and nagato sit baack and watch.

What do you mean by Orochimaru being a nobody? His skills may have not been recognized by others (being an orphan and all) but he had great skill as a kid
