-Lightning release enhances A's speed. Does FTG enhance Minato's speed in any way ? Nope.
-When you move, you have to actually make movements (gestures). A's lightning release makes his movements faster. And Minato can still teleport even bound in unbreakable chains, how is that moving ?
-Minato>A if you want... I never said he wasn't. All said was FTG is not about real speed

Minato isnt alive, so technically he doesnt count. Anyways if he did, his FTG isnt his natural speed nor does it enhance it like BM Lightning armore, or EIG, but it is apart of his ability to move from one place to another which makes him the fastest alive, though not through any natural means.

Also, both Guy and Lee completely outclass Itachi in speed with the EIG. There is no competition there. He wouild be a competitor if this was just base speed, but this isnt the case.

My thoughts exactly. Lightning release enhance A's reaction time and physical prowess. Just like BM and EIG. And unlike FTG. But Minato's reflexes are extremely good to be able to cope with the opponent's speed

How can Minato have the highest base speed ? Are you serious ? A would have owned him if he didn't have FTG.
FTG can't be fast because there is no moving. Minato gets warped to another place in space. That's what space/time jutsu is all about.

Its not the traveling Distance of the FTG or Obito's teleportation that counts.. It is the time they require.. FTG is faster then Instant transmission. FTG does count as his speed.


Here let me explain to you what i mean,

Minato and Obito have Teleportation right? BUT Obito doesn't make the top 5 for 1 reason..
The time that his teleportation takes is too slow , compared to the time of FTG. Naruto could pawn Obito with his S/T jutsu.. And he can also counter Minato's FTG. Techniques or nin-jutsu are also part of your speed in here. Otherwise Tsunade using Chakra to eff up Susano'o wouldn't be considered her normal strength.. But its her strength.

Enhance something doesn't make it naturally theres. And FTG upgrades his speed to get from point A to point B. And his name the "yellow flash".. Obito said he deserved it.. even without using Minato using the FTG.


And Itachi would never be a competitor in TOP 5 base speed. Raikage, 3rd Raikage, Killer B, Lee, Guy would've taken the spots.

Itachi has 5 at speed
And Lee has 4.5 at speed

No, Lee has a 5 according to the most recent databook.

Look at FTG from this perspective.
With Lightning release, BM, Body Flicker or EIG you can actually measure how fast the person is ( their speed ) by dividing the distance by the amount of time required : 300miles/10sec means your speed is 30miles/sec. That is not possible with FTG or Kamui because they are S/T jutsus. They are not about ''speed''. The other enhance your natural speed, they make you go faster. That's my opinion anyway.

Actually obito is not even near naruto why naruto couldn't hit him is become he dematerialize before fading or teleporting put dematerializing aside naruto already reached him since proof: always naruto reach obito but passes through if obito can teleport without dematerializing naruto would have stomped a rasengan on him since so I m not sure obito is faster than naruto

Ultimately this how it would look:

1)Minato

Even though his teleportation requires seals, he can still teleport to wherever they are instantly. We are not considering whether a jutsu is prepped or no, but rather how quickly it can get a person from point A to point B.

2)Obito

Obito's S/T jutsu takes time to fully initiate since he first has to absorb himself into his separate space and then reappear at his desired location. Because of this he has more versatility in choosing where he wants to go, but this thread is only concerned with how fast he can get himself from one place to another.

3)BM Naruto

KM Naruto has proved capable of dodging the raikage's fastest attack and BM Naruto has been shown to deflect 5 bijuudamas away from Guy and Kakashi at point-blank range.

4)Guy in 8th gate

While we have yet to see any real feats from the 8th gate, it is presumed, according to the descroption of the 8th gate, that it will grant power greater than the 5 kages. The EIG grant the user enhanced speed and power, so it means that Guy would temporarily be faster than even the raikage which is why I have Guy above the raikage. He is below BM Naruto because Naruto isnt technically a kage, so the description of the 8th gate likely doesnt apply to him. Therefore, it is currently unknown whether the 8th gate would grant speed faster than BM Naruto

5)Raikage

The raikage was considered the fastest alive after Minato himself and is still one of the top tier speedsters in the NV. He is obviously the one that most people compare other very fast shinobi to, making him the minimum standard of being a top tier speedster.

Others that are also fast and are still considered to be near the top tier when it comes to speed:

Third raikage:

This guy, like his son is also noted to be very fast since he uss the same technique, lightning armor. He, however, is more known for his durability a bit more than his speed, making him not as fast as his son, but still pretty close.

Lee in the 5th gate:

Has proven himself earlier on in the story to be one of the fastest in the NV with the power of the EIG. However, his mastery of the EIG isn't up to his sensei's level, so it is obvious that he would not be as quick, though he is sure to be one of the top contenders in the speed department.

Zetsu:

Zetsus unusual ability to meld in to the trees grants him a transportation ability not unlike Obito's and it allows him to traverse through terrain very quickly, though it is noted to not be quite as fast as Obito's jutsu itself. It has great potential, but the amount of time it takes for him to meld with the environment makes it almost usless in battle, especially against other top tier speedster that are mentioned above him.

This must be the right list if I put it right here, so if u guys wants to comment, then remember put your top 5 fastest shinobis if u guys disagree with me.

Top 5 fastest shinobis ( no false )

1. Minato : He has incredible reflexable speed and he using space-time techs with his kunai to transport himself or with another person if he wants too. FTG is the most distracting and fastest jutsu, just depends on where he use it. ( And u guys don't need to argue ) And he's the fastest shinobi after all.

2. Naruto : Naruto kcm and Bijuu mode. With Kcm he can run so fast that almost no one can match up with him and his speed would take out many enemies, no doubt, especially a army or Zetsu clones. With his kcm he can use Rasenshuriken with his speed to win a battle, just depends on which target he's facing.

With his Bijuu mode, oh man no need to explain this, but he have incredible great speed,, especially when he saved Kakashi and Guy from the seven tailed beast Bijuu Dama. He can run fast and his tailed can counter most of powerful jutsus, no need to explain this either.

3. Raikage ( Ay )
Okay, u guys knows well about his speed and lightning armor. If Ay using his v1 lightning armor and then use his speed to attack someone, he's punch will be more effective and greater, with that almost no one can dodge it, but they can block it, besides if someone blocks they will die or the damage will hurt them badly.

His v2 lightning armor are on the same lvl as Minato's FTG tech, just almost. U guys remember when he used his top speed on Naruto when he just intent to kill, but Naruto managed to dodge it like Minato did. With his v2 he can use the body flicker very fast like when he battled Sasuke back then. So no need to explain so much here too.

4. Most likely Itachi : Itachi is incredible fast, especially when he using his body flicker with his Sharingan. Itachi probably using his great speed with his clones or his crows to distract them and then there u go, he's behind them in no time and then killing them. Itachi and Minato are the most deathly shinobis we seen so far, cause they are just like assassins.

5. Guy with seven and eight gate open : Okay, some people says that Guy is faster than Itachi, but I disagree with them, cause Itachi is someone not to mess with. Guy can't catch Itachi even Guy using his eight gate open.

Guy will be a number 5 for sure, cause he have incredible taijutsu techs and he have great speed ( No need to explain about this, u guys need to figure it out by yourselves about Guy.


Okay heres the true top 5 fastest shinobis, this is not my top 5, but a true list.

Tobi: I've never seen the speed of Tobi since he only teleports with Kamui, and Kamui isn't really fast, it takes a long time to teleport to any place.

Minato: Even though he uses FTG, it takes him 0.1 sec to teleport and he is fast even without ftg.

Naruto: We saw he is able to teleport as well (Naruto and Bee vs Kisame) and he dodged Raikages full speed.
