Hinata's dream is far from shallow. She's with Naruto and Neji, the two people she cared about the most. Tranquil. Ino's dream was shallow. Shino's dream was shallow. Choji's dream was shallow.
And Hinata died trying to protect Naruto from Pain.

Hinata is awesome. Sakura is okay.

Sakura's dream: "To see team 7 smiling again!"
Hinata's dream: "Let's hold hands Naruto-kun!"

Oh yeah sure Sakura is such a shallow useless character all she cares about is Sasuke!

@bold: let people say that. It's okay. Sakura probably reminds boys of the girl that friendzoned them, but asked to remain friends, hence why she's getting so much negativity in the comments and people are resorting to use profane words to refer to her (people and their hate towards things that don't even exist Lol ) while glorifying Hinata, while in reality...these two are in the very same boat. Kishimoto created both to be supports and to flame the pairing wars. xD

And I'm not saying that all guys are turned off by Sakura because of that, just saying that I've noticed most are because of the aforementioned reason.

Neither, Sakura went from being obsessed with Sasuke loving her to being seriously concerned about his condition (him being in darkness)
Hinata went from just loving Naruto, using him as a support to wanting to be the one who is that supports him.

Shallow would mean they were only obsessed with their crush's looks and that isn't the case for either females

If I had to pick someone shallow it would be Karin

This thread has been solo'd, good job. These guys don't even know what shallow mean.

Best answer so far.

She knows Naruto's main goal in life is to become Hokage and in her dream Kiba's the hokage...seems pretty selfish and shallow to me, then again Sakura's not much better I mean honestly.

Kiba becoming kage is kiba's dream. Not hinata's.

Falling in love with a good for nothing loser makes you shallow. Got it. Do you even know what shallow means bruh?

Has she ever once thought of what Naruto wants? Especially in the context of a relationship? No.

She has never thought of how Naruto feels. She has never put his feelings above hers. With her, it's always been "I will do this, I will do that. I will hold your hand, I will walk by you." She has only ever considered what she wants from Naruto, regardless of what he may feel of it. It's selfish, and yes, extremely shallow. Her "love" is more of an obsession than anything else, especially since a common practice of love is considering how the other feels.

Karin just wants Sasuke's meat to pound her hard. And Ino strokes any guys meat so long as he's good looking(Sai).

Null and void points. They aren't in a relationship yet. She has feelings for Naruto, period . She isnt forcing herself on Naruto like Karin does with Sasuke. Up until the Pain era, she was even too shy to approach Naruto. Speaking of the Pain era, she gave up her life for Naruto. That is no shallow love son.

Alright. Lol

Everyone reading this thread knows what shallow means. You cannot say, "neither". One is definitely more shallow than the other and there is no point in hiding that fact. Everyone in the Naruverse can be shallow to some degree (or at least nearly everyone). Especially the females that Kishimoto writes-that's quite undeniable.

She didn't just fall in love with a good for nothing loser. She fell in love with his "nindo" and got self-confidence from seeing him work hard...however, the shallow part is that she just watched him suffer for the first 12 years in his life and didn't bother to help him; when that was the point in his life that he needed it most. Regardless of Hinata's shy attitude, if she really cared about Naruto himself as much as fans say she does, she would have gone up to him.

Then we have her dream. It was good to see Neji and Hanabi, but not so pleasing to see what they were doing. It would have been better on her part to dream of them all together, conversing and happy. Maybe even more clan members too. Not just them hiding, crouched behind a bush spying on her.

However, I will say this. Kishimoto designs an array of characters. If you support NaruHina, or just like Hinata then that's good. In a way, if you like romance (which her character primarily revolves around), then her being shallow and thinking of only Naruto the majority of the time isn't a bad thing. (I just don't like romance like that. xD )

Edit: Karin should have been added. Look at all the comments for her. :p

I never said that they were in a relationship. None of my points are null and void at all, especially if you consider the fact that to get into a relationship, you have to acknowledge that the other person has feelings. The only times she has ever thought of him is so she could advance herself and her position with him, regardless of how he might feel about others.

In the pain era, Naruto told everybody to hang back, which they did because they believed in him. Hinata had no idea that Naruto might have been able to find a way out of his predicament (which he might have been able to, who knows), instead she made a rushed judgement that nearly killed the entire village. She didn't go down there to help him, else she would have simple tried pulling out the rod from his hands. She went there to say "I love you".
