This is actually not a sign of being especially intelligent, rather being a good psychologist, you know.

Seriously?

itach is a genius true but do you realise his plan failed sasuke is evil and a criminal...it has to be minato because he set naruto up to be able to compete with madara not an easy feat

This is incorrect reasoning because Naruto himself admitted that Sasuke and him could have easily have switched places, with Naruto being the villain and Sasuke the hero. It was pure chance that Naruto turned out alright and Sasuke didn't.

Naruto is just a good natured people, he fought against evil many times along the way, sometimes he nearly went over the edge and yes in a way he was saved by the other's around him, but it's mostly to do with the fact that he didn't want to give in to hatred.

Sasuke also had lot's of people that were their to save him, Kakashi , naruto & Sakura. That's where the difference lies, is that sasuke wasn't strong enough to say not to evil just like all the other people before him... ( Obito, Nagato ect ect ...

itachi may had been young but he was wise beyond his years he may had been bacjed into a corner but he made a wise choice in sacrificing his name for his family and his brother he set sasuke up to be a hero and loved which was a wise plan considering what he would have to go through he made 1flaw that was using hatred to motivate him...minato was also backed against a wall with the death of his wife near yet he was able to stay calm and make the best decision for every one sealing kurama in the naruto was more then just a gamble of him being the savior he used a seal that made it that naruto can become the perfect jinchiruki even more then bee is...he used wisdom to set a plan in motion that would save the world...itachi however brillant he is made a plan that is making sasuke cause more turmoil being that he is fueled by the hatred itachi 1st planted in him that orochimaru and obito nutured so he would turn out thinking the exact opposite of itachi's true wish...and no asuma could not have thought of a better plan cause he lacks the power to execute a plan like that(he lost to hidan

Nobody was there for Sasuke in his youth though, which is what Naruto was referring to. His exact sentiment was "if I didn't have Iruka..." then he could have turned out to be a monster worse than part one Gaara, and one that Sasuke, in another universe, would be tasked as the hero to stop.

And personally, I don't think Kakashi, Naruto, or Sakura "being there" for Sasuke is a good excuse. Kakashi has a very distant and aloof personality. Naruto was a brat that just wanted to prove himself until the end of part two. Sakura was a girl mesmerized by looks and an illustrious family name. There was nothing really concrete there to begin with. It's true that they all became attached to Sasuke in their own way, but that doesn't mean that they were there for Sasuke. Iruka was a legitimate father figure who had no superficial, competitive, obligatory, or otherwise ulterior motives to care for Naruto.

It was Sasuke who separated himself from everyone even in the academy. He was alone just like Naruto, but the difference is: Naruto was alone because no one cared about him and Sasuke was alone because HE didn't care about anyone. Heck, Sasuke was extremely popular, it was 100% his choice that he was alone, not anyone else's, as opposed to Naruto's case.

Also, while it's true that Kakashi has a personality of a "lone wolf" sort of, he cared deeply about his whole team, Sasuke included. If I remember correctly, he even stated in Part II that Sasuke was his favorite student. He did what he could, explained to Sasuke what's really important, tried to make him choose the right path and there's nothing more he could have done, really.

Everyone had help respectively. Minato had Jman, Itachi had sharingan(yes sharingan inevitably guides ur decisions making) and kakashi had sharingan as well. I would rate minato over itachi and kakashi becuz he had experience. Kakashi has alot of analytical intelligence but not alot of practical intelligence, due to his life style mainly(lack of taslk no jutsu). So i rate itachi over kakashi for this reason

Mine is based on how successful their plans are.

Minato
Kakashi
Itachi
The **** are you talking about?
Itachi planned 8 years of Sasuke's life. Obito would have died if he didnt izanagi, Minato was a fail all together. Name one plan kakashi has done, please

I'd ignore a bunch of annoying 12-year-old gold-diggers too. Naruto's envy of that aspect of Sasuke's life was childish. And you're not hearing me. Naruto said Iruka saved him, Iruka being a father figure. Peers blindly admiring you for looks and talent is no substitute for not having a caring adult help you after your parents and family have been butchered lol.

Minato - Everyone seems to be in awe of this man; Jiraiya, Kakashi, Ay, Bee, Tsunade to name a but a few. Heralded as a once in a decade genius that has not been seen again since his untimely demise [ ], described as having an unparalleled capacity as a shinobi [ ], capable of deducing the mechanics of a jutsu with only a single look [ ][ ], Minato also formulated a variety of top tier jutsu such as Rasengan, Hiraishin and Shiki Fūjin. His ability to act under extreme time constraints and pressure was evident during Obito's unexpected assault on the village, with the lives of his wife, newborn son and fellow villagers on the line. Yondaime also had to account for Konoha's military position and status amongst the other Hidden Villages. Smart men know when to gamble and his gamble certainly paid off.

Kakashi - Hyped as being the most analytically sound shinobi alive by Maito Gai [ ]. Quite frankly, his age of accomplishments speak for themselves; graduation at 5, chūnin at 6 and jōnin at 13, although the latter age is merely speculation as many believe Kakashi to actually be three years younger than his teammates Obito and Rin; this would make him a 10 year old jōnin during Kakashi Gaiden. Perhaps he will surpass his Sensei in this very fight.

Itachi - He'd likely be first had his plan not failed so spectacularly. His teacher praised him as being the best student he had ever taught;

Teacher: "The honor is mine. Itachi was the most gifted student I ever had the pleasure to mentor...I've never seen such a remarkable student. We barely had to teach him anything at all.

Fugaku: "You exaggerate."

Teacher: "No, No."

With his father of course heaping the usual biased praised any parent would give to their child. Of course, Itachi was a true prodigy, although he, along with others (such as Sasuke) tended to overestimate his skills [ ][ ]. He benefited from having KKG hax; the others did not. Itachi also admitted that he had failed as was responsible for Sasuke walking down such a dark road [ ] - had he not been so foolish as to do everything himself then perhaps, in his own words, he would have been successful [ ][ ], like Minato was. It's this failure which limits Itachi's place on my list.

Most of your post downgrades Itachi lol, but:

Viz: Teacher: "The honor is mine. Itachi was the most gifted student I ever had the pleasure to mentor...I've never seen such a remarkable student. We barely had to teach him anything at all.

Fugaku: "You exaggerate."

Teacher: "No, No."

--

princess of iwagakure:Academy Teacher: It's my pleasure. A genius since the founding of the academy....There were never a student as bright as he was. To the point that there was no single thing I had to take care of.

Fugaku: That is a bit too much praising.

Academy Teacher: No, not at all.

--

Shisui::: Not at all! I wasn't much of a help. Of all the geniuses since the creation of the Academy, until now there's never been a student as excellent as that kid. There's only so much assistance I can give to someone like that.

Njt:

I ask you to guide this boy just like you did his brother

Page 5:

いやいやお世話だなど
Guide? no no, there was no need...

忍者学校(アカデミー)
始まって以来の天才・・・
あの子ほど優秀な生徒は今までいませんでしたよ
He(the brother) was the greatest genious the Academy had seen since it's foundation.... There hasn't been a finer student than him.

Also, Kakashi benefited from "KKG hax" too. "The Copy Cat Nin," "Master of 1000 jutsu," etc.

@Lilt, VIZ > the others. And you will see that what I said was, infact, the words of the VIZ translation. Kakashi was a prodigy before acquiring the Sharingan.
