Itachi and Minato are equal. Both keep it cool, and their intelligence working for them.

Anybody forgot the recent nervous breakdown Kakashi is experiencing at the moment?

Kakashi is a tactical master, but relies on experience, where Itachi and Minato react to an entire new situation, and adept themselves instantly.

Shikamaru and Kakashi are on the same page IMO. Itachi and Minato are an entire saga/Magnus Opus. For some reason I think we we'll see both of them still... post-mortum. And if you have read Hagakure and such... True genius exceeds death.

at least battle wise for kakashi and minato, they have been proven to analyze every opponent and counter them with their own jutsus...kakashi even outsmarted itachi the second time they fought...God these people...

First, you need to calm down ---

Itachi planned for his death, he planned to pressure sasuke to bring out Orochimaru in their fight, he planned to preserve Shisui's eye, he planned for Izanami, oh and he deduced the weakness of Chibaku Tensei in seconds. Is that good enough? If not, too bad. About the bold part: What do you mean by "he gave his son all"? And minato could not "observe everything inside naruto", he planted his chakra in order to preserve his psyche in case the seal broke.

I would go with Itachi. Kabuto states that Itachi knows things that could stop the war and that he needed that information from Itachi. He also stated that Itachi was a master at reading people which was true because he read Kabuto as clear as day. So apparently Itachi knew a pile of stuff that was never revealed. But going by what was shown in the Manga its clear that Itachi and Minato are equal and Kakashi comes in 3rd. Itachi and Minato can find counters to ability the first time they see it. Kakashi hasn't really shown such a feature and mainly on a scale of something like Obito was pulling off. To be honest, the only reason why Kakashi knew how to counter Obito's ability was because it just so happened that Obito's masked got grazed by the kunai which led him to believe that his attack and Obito's S/T were linked, it was just luck and sloppiness on Obito's side.

Itachi: he had a plan to save his village which he completed. Spied on akatsuki and slip info to jaraiya without anyone knowing (he even did it in kisame face and kisame didnt know. Kisame was in charge of his anbu meaning he knows a few ways of understanding secret messages). Die came back and used his plan for naruto and sasuke on himself come on really that goes beyond planning and even luck.

Kakashi: He always reads things even if its nothing. Never over looking anything to him anything is a suspect.

Minato: Outside of battles he is to care free

I know we've only seen Minato a few times in battle but I think his battle tactics is what helps define his intelligence. However, Minato, Kakashi and Itachi are 3 out of the best 10 ninjas the Naruto series has to offer.
