Well the "ice powers" (not magic) in my 5-part series in progress is a guy.
But he's the dark, anti-social intellectual type. Knock people into the air so they land on 15ft spikes of ice harder than steel is about the least he would tolerate in lack of finesse as far as how he fights. He's the only one who doesn't use blunt force and raw power to achieve a highly demanding problem.
The only thing I liked from Frozen was when Elsa was twirling her magic, intangible ponytail and swaying her hips in that high slit dress. Although she had really big, freakishly expressive eyes (in balance, most animated characters have 1 key facial characteristic) and a little too spastic (in balance, due to bat parenting) for my taste.
