technically, that is bullshit. Green Goblin killed her, spiderman was just too late. SHe was dead either way, so you can't just say spidey killed her. What is he supposed to do just let her fall?
Catch her a different way. Parker's a smart kid he should have known the force would be too much. He could have dove down some distance(like your sig) and caught her with less distance, but instead he relied on his powers and stayed at the bridge and tried to catch her.
Not to mention it's official that the force of Spiderman's web catching her is what killed her. On top of that it is possible to survive jumping/falling from the George Washington Bridge(which is where they were supposed to be according to the comic)

While it's unlikely she would have survived and we could debate that forever, there is a chance she would have lived if Peter never tried to save her.
Fun Fact: The Green Goblin death scene from the first Spider Man movie(Tobie Maguire) where he dodges the hover board and Goblin stabs himself comes from this comic(or the follow up can't remember exactly)
