Who's cooler and smarter, Kakashi or Minato ?

Kakashi is smarter. Minato only found out that he can attack while Tobi attacks, which is common knowledge. Kakashi, on the other hand, discovered much more.
Who's cooler? Both are cool, but absolutely nothing beats the awesomeness of Kakashi.

Minato would be so fun to watch in the anime if he'd be shown to fight in real time,somehow. But so far, all we saw were slo-mo versus Minato battles and slo-mo FTGs.

Just to be fair, he said he found out much more. Minato only found out the common knowledge. If Minato had a Kamui-wielding Kakashi with him when he fought Tobi, he could have also found out much more.

Yeah, but I got the impression that he meant Kakashi acquired that information single handedly, something which would then make his feat comparable to Minato's :/

We're comparing intelligence, not power. I know Minato is stronger than Kakashi. But the thing is, since Kakashi is not as strong as Minato, he had to use someone else's power instead of his own to confirm what he wanted to confirm.

The fact remains that what Kakashi found out was discovered by Kakashi himself, not Kakashi, Naruto, Guy and Bee.

And that's why I think Kakashi wins when it comes down to intelligence.

Well if we look at it pound for pound, Minato actually did more because he figured out quickly that Tobi goes tangible when he phases to attack only after 1 warping attempt and 2 exchanges in which both Minato's attack went through. On the third attempt of Minato to hit tobi, he lands the rasengan. Unlike Kakashi, who needed a decoy to catch Tobi going tangible and needed Yamato's help to shackle the former.

Both are intelligent, but Minato was shown to be more decisive than Kakashi.

Both are awesome, cool, are equally smart, though by Manga Minato tips him off in analytic skills and may be a better tactician but its a razor thin margin.

Combat Wise Minato is ahead of Kakashi.

nope its not a thin margin kakashi need his sharingan to see it better :ice:
