Sakura was able to match Ino by using her intelligence to her advantage (Ino had an intelligence of like 2, or 2.5) . Sadly however Rin's intelligence is >= Sakura.

Rin is the second youngest known accomplished medical ninjutsu user in the manga. The only one younger than her was Kabuto.
