me and my brother were talking about this and he thought that give obito both his eyes and he would beat Minato. send Minato to obito's dimension and leave him there, come back and beat him whenever. I was like Minato could leave his FTG mark there and a clone and teleport out fight obito everytime obito send a part of him there he could finish him like kakashi should have instead of punching him.

obito knew minato's fighting style...
handicapped him with kurama, kushina, naruto and village...
minato knew nothing of kamui... even the likes of hashirama don't stand a chance without knowledge on kamui...
minato didn't use his full arsenal due to limitations little knowledge imposed i.e no clones or SM...
still won the battle...
if you still think this obito stands a chance, now that those restrictions are no more, you are not even funny...!
between minato and obito, it isn't a battle of chakra or moves, minato said it and i quote "it's a battle of speed" and minato is clearly faster...

minato if sent to kamui cannot survive for long... it was proved in kaguya arc that it takes enormous amount of chakra to stay alive in someone else's dimension... naruto's clone vanished in no time in kaguya's dimension... kakashi possessing the other eye and obito were the only ones who could survive in kamuiland for long... that's how obito was able to finish opponents by sending them to kamuiland... if they can still fight in kamuiland then what's the point of sending them there...
though ftg is still faster as it's instant while kamui isn't... though with both eyes obito might win as that's a great plus excluding rikudo chakra obviously...

Like someone's already said obito had all the Intel and advantages over Minato and he still lost, Now if Minato had Intel on kamui and other stuff Obito would never have stood a chance against Minato. Obito have battle experience means nothing when it comes to Minato

Minato's Speed is faster then Obito's Kamui and could teleport there, how did sasuke and karin and sakura, and a nearly Naruto survive there, its not like Minato is just gonna wait there he would know if staying thee will be a disadvantage for him

that is if obito opens the portal... but if obito sends him there and then keeps portal closed for sometime then minato can't get out... obviously if he uses kamui again in short time then two worlds will get connected and minato can teleport out...
all this assuming obito sends minato to kamuiland which is very difficult..

Minato can teleport to any place he has marked, there is no reason to believe that he can't teleport out of the dimension or that states otherwise. If he can't reverse summoning will do the trick.

S/T doesn't work unlimitedly... and one S/T cannot interfere with another... kakashi was surprised when he knew obito used same dimension as him as two S/Ts can't be in same dimension and knew right away that tobi had obito's eye...

Edit: reverse summoning is also an S/T jutsu as per my knowledge so still can't bypass different dimensions... obito's kamui wouldn't be this deadly if it was that easily avoidable...
