At this point he wasn't adept with the gura gura, Mihawk should have better reactions than BB quite honestly, he can fight from any range so if BB starts using the Gura Gura, Mihawk can dodge from long range and send flying slashes. And there is also the fact that Mihawk doesn't rely on a DF which renders half of Yami Yami's advantage useless.

Tbh, Marshall D Teach was too inexperienced with the Gura Gura no Mi. U_U . He still had the Yami Yami no Mi but it wouldn't help him against Mihawk who hasn't eaten a devil fruit

Mihawk, I'm not sure about the difficulty.



Blackbeard was not alone, he had his whole crew backing him up there. Had it been Blackbeard vs Garp and Sengoku, it would have literally ended within few seconds. Nobody in the entire manga is strong enough to fight two top tiers at once for an extended period of time. Sengoku and Garp quickly and without any visible injuries dealt with Shiki who is one of the strongest people with one of the most hax fruits.

Blackbeard got nice boost once he obtained the Gura fruit, but not strong enough to beat a top tier. He ran away from Akainu with his whole crew. That's not something a top tier would do. Imagine having a Shanks level fighter with that crew running from Akainu, it shouldn't happen in million of years. Current Blackbeard after 2 years should be able to defeat most top tiers.

Even if his crew are full of level 6 inmates the number of them would not be able to fully handle one of these two legends, imo. Even then Teach was fighting one of the last men remaining from Rogers era. I just don't see Mihawk being able to be in the same situation Teach was and do as good as he did. In the end, Teach would have probably lost. But much slower than Mihawk would have. Unless Mihawk has some insane speed feats how would he land a hit on Teach? When Teach can just create darkness to defend himself or fire off shock waves?

That's what they were doing, otherwise Blackbeard would have died there. Also, I think Sengoku was protecting MF/weaker soldiers at the same time too. Ace was able to keep up with yami Teach, Mihawk being much stronger and more experienced would have done better than that. I mean, you yourself think Akainu would need extreme difficulty to beat Mihawk iirc, so given that Blackbeard with his whole crew felt the need to flee from just Akainu how is it you think Blackbeard would beat Mihawk? Makes no sense. Mihawk even wanted to have a go at WB, someone who is stronger than Akainu. You might as well replace Mihawk with any Emperor/Admiral etc because you get the same result. BB wasn't quite ready to fight the big shots at that point

Because I can't see anything special about Mihawk without the sword once it gets swallowed by the black hole or Blackbeard's DF

I would say mihawk sincehes faster and bb can't dodge liike others so he might be cut in half or mabe half way though reason bb body power has to be stronger then wb n we all seen wb
