Imo people overrate Mihawk, tremendously.

Teach managed to hold off two top tier fighters who together, imo, could have beaten Mihawk, especially since both of them were hardly hit during the war. I'm talking about Garp and Sengoku, the two guys who went head to head with people clearly stronger than Mihawk such as Roger and Newgate, both prime.

Blackbeard was not alone, he had his whole crew backing him up there. Had it been Blackbeard vs Garp and Sengoku, it would have literally ended within few seconds. Nobody in the entire manga is strong enough to fight two top tiers at once for an extended period of time. Sengoku and Garp quickly and without any visible injuries dealt with Shiki who is one of the strongest people with one of the most hax fruits.

Blackbeard got nice boost once he obtained the Gura fruit, but not strong enough to beat a top tier. He ran away from Akainu with his whole crew. That's not something a top tier would do. Imagine having a Shanks level fighter with that crew running from Akainu, it shouldn't happen in million of years. Current Blackbeard after 2 years should be able to defeat most top tiers.

mihawk was constantly fighting shanks.... bb lacks experience from his df powers and fighting itself. hes too clumsy, too slow.

While BB is an absolute beast when it comes to tanking, some things just arent meant to be tanked like Magellans poison for example, Mihawks slashes are one of those things you simply cant recover from, hes gonna have to suck his slashes in using the yami yami no mi rather than tank them.
